BULIMBA PROFILE
There are 6,843 people living in Bulimba, a suburb in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
In terms of distance from the CBD, Bulimba is located 4 kilometers (2.5 miles) north-east of the CBD on the southern bank of the Brisbane River. However, it is 9 kilometers (5.6 miles) from the CBD by road.
Bulimba Creek, and Bulimba Reach, which is located on the Bulimba Reach, are both named after the Yugarapul word Bulimba meaning 'place of the magpie lark'. Bilin Bilin is a leader whose name is inspired by the magpie lark, or pee-wee bird.
Approximately 20,000 years ago, the Yuggara people inhabited Bulimba.
On Oxford Street, Bulimba State School serves boys and girls in pre-primary (Prep-6) classes
