  • When Packing to move home, many people spend hours wrapping $2 tea cups in bubble wrap, then just hand us the TV loose! Any items that you want to be protected need to be backed for transport properly, if you need help with this; please contact us to add Packing on to your job.

    Please empty your fridge, wipe it down and defrost it (if possible) prior to our arrival. Whist moving bulky items we need clear access so make sure floors and entrances are clear.

    TVs MUST be in their original box with original foam packing. Electrical items not in original box and packaging are not covered by removalist insurance. Please ensure you are fully prepared for the move prior to arrival of the truck.

    Ensure all loose items are boxes and all draws and cupboards are also empty and boxed.

    All boxes must be stackable, taped and clearly marked if additional care needs to be taken due to contents.

    All boxes must be packed so they are a safe weight for our team to lift and transport.

    Please ensure all fragile items are packed in appropriate boxes/packaging for safe travel.

  • 2-4 weeks ahead will help to guarantee you your most ideal time slot & date.

    However, we understand that this isn’t always possible to give 2 weeks notice, so we will work to fit you in!

  • There are a huge number of factors that effect how it will take. We pride ourselves on being the most efficient team around who are motivated without compromising the safety of your items. As a general rule of thumb check out the below guide:

    1 bedroom home: 2-4 hours

    2 bedroom home: 4-6 hours

    3 bedroom home: 5-7 hours

    4 bedroom home: 7-10 hours

    Please note that these are only estimates and have the potential to vary greatly based on a variety of factors.

    If you have any queries, we can discuss each job on an inidiviual basis and give you the best possible estimation so you can be prepared

  • If you need the Guarenteed time slot, you must book the AM slot.

    However, if you book the PM, we will try our utmost to stick to the start time we have provided (this is what we have planned for too!), but on occasion, there are unforeseen circumstances, usually a hold-up / larger job than booked at the previous job; that are team are working tirelessly to finish to rush to you ASAP!

    The Move Manager will keep you updated, informing you if the team will be arriving / if they are running slightly behind.

    We are ALWAYS available, if you have any queries, please do contact us!

  • Yes we do - however, this must be discussed with the MQ team at lest a week before the move.

    We have a duty of care to our workers to not ask them to lift items that are unsafe / too heavy. We want to keep our team safe & we are restrained by insurances. If there is a heavy item, we will arrange for more resources to ensure the items are moved safely, for our workers, yourself, your item and your home! :)

  • TVs and all electrical items MUST be in their original box with original foam packing. Electrical items not in original box and packaging are not covered by any removalist insurance.

    MQ carries Public Liability.

    MQ carries the premium extra insurance of Goods in Transit Insurance. This covers your items in the case of an accident on the road. This is of the value up to $50,000 per truck.

    We cover damage made by misconduct or negligence by our team ONLY, this extends to a limit of $1000 per item. If you wish to cover for additional accidental damages, we recommend you arrange with your home contents insurance or an insurer or your choice.

    Any items deemed by MQ as poorly prepared for transport will also not be covered. Our insurance does not cover anything packed by the owner when the box does not display physical damage.

    Our insurance does not cover any computer/electronic gear.

    Our insurance is not new for old; market value applies.

    Before the move / at the time of booking, any items of value must be identified to the MQ team with photos.

    Our insurance does not cover anything breakable by nature(glass/terracotta/marble).

    Any damage incurred due to a request to manoeuvre large/heavy items (i.e Large & Double Door fridges, pianos, fitness equipment, tools etc.) through tight and /or potentially risky spaces or stairs is accepted as the customers responsibility, and any damage will not be covered my MQ in these scenarios.

  • We will ALWAYS work hard to be flexible around any changes to schedule that you have; please just talk to us..

    Bookings may be cancelled or rescheduled if new time slot is available - this must be more than 24 hours before the start time without penalty.

    Bookings cancelled less than 48 hours before their start time will incur a loss of the deposit. Booking cancelled on the day of the move will incur our minimum charge fee of 2 hours.

  • You can collect packing materials from Bunnings, however, if you would like boxes delivering, we offer several packages and will deliver to your house. Just Ask!

  • No worries at all - Leave it to us!

    You will never regret booking a removalist to do the hard work for you… The level-up from this is having your house (or single room) packed up for transportation to your new place for you!

    We also offer Un-packing services if you want to be completely hands-off..!

  • At the end of the job, we will send an invoice to you. This will have a break down of the start & finish time of the job. Please help to settle any invoices that day.

    We do not take payment on the day unless discussed and agreed before with the move manager.

  • We have trucks for ALL size moves, from single item to Large enough for the largest family home!

  • Delicate items need to be considered before the team arrive to the pick up. These items cannot be blanketed and should be bubble wrapped as part of the pre-packing process before the team arrives to move you.

    Please let us know if you have any concerns, we are happy to discuss with you!

  • When booking your job, we will discuss the details of the job with you to help to provide you the best sized truck.

    If we feel that your job will not fit in one truck we will recommend 2 Trucks + 4 Guys to ensure your move doesn’t take too long…

    If for whatever reason the items do not fit in one truck on the day, we will send a second truck or do another trip - either way rest assured that we will not finish until the job is done!

  • Absolutely!

    All our team are proficient with tools and furniture building! Please get in touch if you would like us to dismantle & re-build furniture so we can add this to the job notes for our guys!

  • We can arrange your move from any day of the week Monday - Sunday.

    For Public Holidays we charge an extra $10 per hour which is passed onto the guys working on your job that day.

  • All TVs & other screens need to be in the original box + original packaging to be transported, as TVs are very easily damaged, and cannot be covered for replacement.

  • We understand that some people like to be hands on, and want to help with the move either for fun, or if they are budgeting. This is absolutely fine, but please keep in mind, you are not to lift anything heavy or difficult, that is our job to do the hard work! It’s also important to know, that you are not covered by any of our insurances in case of injury or damage.

  • Most removalists will not move pot plants, we understand that this isn’t always practical for you! So, we will try our best to help!

    Plant pots must be clean… We spend time and care to protect your items and keep them clean, if we add pot plants to the back of the truck on your request and the pots leak, we cannot be held responsible. Also, we will have to spend time cleaning the truck for the next client, we do not charge a soilage fee - so please try to consider this for the next client. Plant pots MUST be dry, clean, no mud or dirt (leave them in the sun for a few days and no water!)

    Only if there is room…. We are happy to add clean plant pots onto the back of the truck if there is room :) Plants are very difficult to pack - you cannot stack them on furniture, nor stack on top of the plant, so a single plant can take up a few metre’s square in the truck. If there is room on the back of the truck we will add.

    The best option for plant pots… We have a plant pot trailer! Please let us know if you need plants / garden items moving and we will arrange for our trailer and ute to do this for a flat fee (Brisbane Local) of $150. Please contact us for a quote for further distances.

    • A Fair and reasonable hourly rate for our guys who work hard every day in the QLD Heat! ;D

    • 30 mins free Call Out / Return to Depot fee, any travel time outside of this is charged at hourly rate

    • Taxes & Superannuation

    • Work Safe Insurance for every worker at 6.5% hourly rate. As removals is deemed high risk role.

    • The Truck of course! :)

    • All equipment, blankets, trolleys, Dollys, Straps, Bungees, Wrap. We pride ourselves on keeping clean blankets and replace them constantly, if we wouldn’t use them on our furniture, we won’t use them on yours! :)

  • Our guys work extremely hard - it is a taxing day - physically and menatlly; working in the heat, carrying heavy items, problems solving as each job is unique & doing this whilst offering 5* customer service.

    For this reason the guys will need to take a break to eat & hydrate.

    Any job over 6 hours, our guys will be taking a break - this is maximum 30 minutes but most often less than this to help to get your job complete ASAP for you! :)
