In the 2016 census, Mount Cotton had a population of 6,835 people.[1] Mount Cotton is located in the City of Redland, Queensland, Australia.
As a result of possible frontier wars with First Nations peoples, Germans colonized the area in the late 1860s. There have been growing numbers of residential sub-developments in recent years due to the establishment of poultry farms in the 20th century.
Koala conservation is practiced at Mount Cotton. In the west, Tingalpa Creek is protected by Venman Bushland National Park.
As of 2011, there were 4,804 people living in Mount Cotton, with 50.8% being females and 49.2% being males according to the 2011 census. It was a 5 year difference between the average age of Mount Cotton's population and the national average of 37 years old.
On the road between 27.5942°S and 153.2299°E, you will find Sirromet Winery located at 850 Mount Cotton Road. Restaurants, vineyards, and winemaking facilities are located there.

A rural lifestyle is at the heart of Mount Cotton, with residential pockets surrounded by native bushland.
